The PT-RZ470U is the world's first 1080p lamp-free professional projector with HD-BaseT technology. The new PT-RZ470 series replaces a conventional lamp with a new LED/laser diodes boosted by Panasonic's proprietary technologies to realize long lasting high brightness of more than 3,000 lumens and up to 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation. The 1-chip DLP PT-RZ470 series is available in two different resolutions, 1080p (1,920 x 1,080) and WXGA (1,280 x 800) with capabilities that were not possible before with conventional lamps. Professional grade features include edge blending and color matching enriching the projector usage experience for educational institutions and professional applications such as museums and digital signage. Based on valens HD-baseT technology, also embedded is Panasonic's digital link feature which allows a single cable to transmit uncompressed HD videos, audio and control commands up to 100m (328'). The PT-RZ470U features 3,500 lumens of brightness. Rate of brightness deterioration in the LED/laser-combined light source is extremely slow compared to lamp-based projectors. The solid shine drive uses a built-in sensor to constantly detect the light intensity of the light source and correct corresponding changes in white balance. This all helps to maintain excellent picture quality for a long period of time. Contrast is outstanding too, at 20,000:1, and images are reproduced with a wide dynamic range. The PT-RZ470 also features a full-HD (1,920 x 1,080) DLP chip, allowing highly detailed full-HD images without resizing.
